What Is Your Definition of Being Deep and Profound?

Question by Margarita4yourkilla: What is your definition of being deep and profound?
I know people who think being dark, secretive, cruel, indifferent, and having some drugs and sex addiction are considered deep and profound. Really?

Can’t being positive and persevering equal living a profound, meaningful life?

your understanding of what is deep and profound is not deep and profound. instead it’s another generic generalization.

i know what is deep and profound because i live it.

there is no surface talk with me, i cut straight to the core. if society perceives me as a dark, secretive, cruel, drug and sex fiend then they are sadly mistaken.

we live in a world where money=happiness and things buy love. this is a shallow state of existence that we are all sharing here and now.

something is profound when it doesn’t at first make sense to the mind, but you can feel it resonating in perfect pitch within the deepest pit of your stomach.

something is deep when it transcends the material realm of demigods and hungry ghosts.

It is having seen the darkest of life and still holding on the brightest of life. It is having no need for being deep and profound. It is getting the most out of life.

  • Ronald Greene says:

Simply put, being deep and profound to me means being consciously connected to your higher, spiritual self. In this state, you see beyond the superficial, you understand without knowing why, and you perceive the same old things in completely new ways.

There is a danger in embedding yourself too deeply in this realm. The price is that you lose focus and connection to the world around you. In a deep state of profundity, you could easily step off the curb into oncoming traffic. Of course it’s possible (hopefully) that your survival mechanism would go off and warn you of what you’re about to do.

Still, depth is healing and revealing to me. I spend much time there.
