we obviously all know what drug addiction is. – you can’t function properly without a drug. Your body and mind are so used to it, you need to use it regularly to feel good.

A habit for example could be a problem drinker. This means the person could stop if they wanted to or for certain times. An addiction is when a person cannot quit or has a very hard time doing so. In a drug addiction for example the body will react more to quitting although in both cases there will be health problems both in use and quitting.

a habit is more of a mental thing such as a routine. but an addiction is a physical thing such as your body needs it and it wont function or you will physical hurt without it. habit is like biting your nails or fidgeting alot you can stop at any time but you chose not to or its just hard to stop. addiction is more complicated you cant always get rid of an addiction.

They are basically the same thing on different levels of severity. Either way you are using drugs and that in no way can be positively affecting your life. You should seek treatment, or at least educate yourself on treatment options. Because a drug habit will turn into a drug addiction.
