* Final judgment sentencing the respondent to imprisonment of more than six years, even if pardoned;
* Drug addiction or habitual alcoholism of the respondent;
* Lesbianism or homosexuality of the respondent;
* Contracting by the respondent of a subsequent bigamous marriage, whether in the Philippines or abroad;
* Sexual infidelity or perversion;
* Attempt by the respondent against the life of the petitioner; or
* Abandonment by respondent without justifiable cause for more than a year

3 grounds for legal separation:
1)beating at the ground floor
2) grounded for not letting go with barkadas
3) grounded(nakuryente) for having sex to a sex worker
1. domestic violence
2. infidelity
3. psychological incapacity
I’m sorry to say but most of the couples who separated did not opt for legal separation/annulment because it really is expensive. They just go on separate ways and after 7 years of separation, the marriage can be considered null and void. Some of the them married again even though their previous marriage wasn’t dissolved yet.
