The Truth About Suicide – Part 2
The Truth about Suicide – Part 2 – This video discusses information collected by the Drug Awareness Warning Network; DAWN. DAWN is part of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration with the Department of Health and Human Services of the United States Government. One thing that DAWN keeps track of is emergency room visits and suicides connected to drug and medication use. I think you will find it shocking just how many people attempt or actually successfully complete suicide while taking psychiatric drugs. DAWN even breaks down the number of suicide related to specific categories of medications such as SSRIs, antidepressants, antipsychotics, anxiety medications, stimulants, etc. We normally think that drugs like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor or Wellbutrin as preventing suicide. Is this the case? You can download and look at these reports for yourself at dawninfo.samhsa.gov This video was produced by Psychetruth www.youtube.com www.livevideo.com www.myspace.com © Copyright 2007 Zoe Sofia. U.S Government… “Treatment” .. Hahaahahaha?
My interpretation: A person is depressed and is thinking of killing themselves, but they don’t have the energy to do so. The physician gives them an antidepressant, which gives them more energy, but does not for some reason result in decreased suicidal ideation for that person.? Now they have the energy to carry it out.
Another possibility is the suiciderate in that group of individuals would be even higher if left untreated. But there is no way to know if that were true. You can’t leave a patient diagnosed and indicated for treatment untreated to be part of a controlgroup. Indivuduals who refuse treatment or are otherwise left untreated may be different the treated patient to begin with. It is almost impossible to get enough good data and interpret it. So the? discussion stays on an emotional level.
Its called? side affecrs
I was put on these drugs and they made me anti social. They fucked up my brain and my social life. These drugs ruin peoples cognitive ability. I think kids shouldnt be on these drugs. wait till their? 25 until you start diagnosing anybody with mental illness. im destined to die because of these drugs
@shaunkluzek Fact, before the marketing of antidepressants depression? had a high recovery rate. The chronic relapse rate did not show up until after the drugs became the standard of care. Check out depression/antidepressants at Robert Whitaker ORG
Good Job? 🙂
very interesting
?
I would love? to find an emotionally wrecked girl and wreck her further =)
The intro is so AWFUL that I? can’t get to watch the vid.
This guys is retarded. Correlation does not imply causation. (e.g. most Americans die in a hospital but that doesn’t mean hospitals cause death) A correlation between depression treatment drugs and suicide does not mean those medications cause suicide. In fact, the reverse is probably true. Depression causes the consumption of anti-depression drugs as well as suicide. This guy tries to sound all scientific but clearly he knows nothing about? statistics
All i can say- is this shit must be true cause it’s on the net. you put alot of time into this vid maybe instead of trying to prove a conspiracy, put your skills to good use and fix the problem. There are so many drugs out there for a reason because everyone is different ,and most people should know that we all have? a different reaction to meds.so until people try every single one you cant say there crap and dont work. there is alot of money to be made with pharm drugs,It takes alot to make to

I agree I think it would be much much better to get them to visist a few counsellors and see which make them feel like they could be understood by them or helped and get them to talk to them, once or twice a week. I believe this would be 1000% better then any drug been through a phycotic episode… which is bull shit name for all the sudden I started to have awake nighmares… and felt i? was traped in labrythin, the drugs made me feel worse. I could not think straight at all!!
Anti-depressants made me rage, I had to stop taking them, I could see why someone would? take their own life while on an SSRI.
Were the? people who committed suicide on anti-deps or did they OD on anti-deps?
I’d be interested in the specifics.
Very good research. I really respect people who are sacrificing their time to change the world. You didn’t just perform a hate-speech but instead gathered information and presented it. That’s a lot of work.
And still it is even very convincing!
You should understand that suicide is normal. It’s not about a pill, it’s about us and society. We should try to built up a good world with love and good will.
The whole (c)rap? and bad guy stuff is the reason why people are suffering. Help each other!
you say 68,000 people kill themselfs on antidepressants ,your forgetting that? more then that kill themselfs who aren’t on antidepressants and have depression in the first place.
Everyone needs to look death in the face. Kinda like saw. Then you t given the choice do? you want to like or die.
I would be Dead if it? weren’t for anti depressants and benzo’s and my trip to the mental ward.
