Struggling With Alcohol Addiction… Help Please?
Question by big_trouble_in_little_cleveland: Struggling with alcohol addiction… help please?
I can go all day without drinking but it seems like at night I cant fight the urge to get alcohol. It’s been like that since I started drinking with my ex girl, she was an alcoholic. I would get off work in the evenings and we would get drunk.
After the relationship, I never dealt with the break up fully and I continued the pattern of drinking, whether I was by myself or with someone else. Im going to see a therapist today, but is there anything else I can do to prepare myself and fight the evening urges to drink?
I have hobbies such as working out and playing video games, selling on ebay, but the urge to drink always overrule my hobbies. I just need to be able to defend myself against these urges.

alcohol addition? I don’t get it. Maybe you need more alcohol and you will be happy.
Its called binge drinking, I have that problem as well. I can go weeks without drinking, but when I do have a drink, I find it hard to stop, or have just one or two. You just have to keep a very close eye on your habits, don’t drink when you are upset.
