I think its nonsense here to discuss if poker is a game of skill or not. If you want to quit poker and you can’t, of course is an addiction, regardless of the nature of the game, being it chess, checkers, etc. You can be addicted also to sports betting and stock market speculating. Lets focus? here in how to help people with this terrible vice.
Certain poker sites have an option that if you? want to be forbidden to play there, you may do it for a month, six months, forever, etc. It will be good, because you might forget poker for a while. At least I know pokerstar and full tilt have that option.In pokerstars i think the option is in the menu of responsible play. I hope it helps you.

Gambling not only steals our assets, but more importantly gambling steals intangible qualities such as a time, so we may win big 10% of the time but? as gamblers we will always lose 100% of our time.
