    Hello Liam,

Getting sober from drugs or alcohol can be one of the more difficult things to do on your own. You’re definitely not alone on that one! I struggled for 15 years only to realize that the only way I could take care of my addictions (there were many), I had to go to a rehab treatment center. Drug rehab completely transformed my life.

If I didn’t have the support of other people that actually understood my situation (them having been former addicts themselves and/or professional treatmetn counselors), then I probably wouldn’t be here today talking with you.

I went into and inpatient drug rehab center and stayed there for a while. It was amazing. You can do inpatient rehab or outpatient. The option is up to you.

CALL the program the Saved me Here – 1-888-927-9085

They are the best in the country and have drug treatment centers all over the U.S. They will give you a free phone consultation and let you know what your best rehab options are.

Give them a call, even if you think your addiction is minor now, it can save you from yourself in the future.

Free treatment would be AA, and NA, look up your local chapter. Rehab is usually the best if you can afford it, find a rehab in your area using the web.

There are various programs (some free, some in-house, some religious…etc, etc) for addiction.

Check out some of the ones in my answer to this question, depending on the orientation/etc you want, or just to get more ideas about what’s out there:

And good luck! Admitting you have a problem and that your life isn’t going the way you’d want is definitely the first step needed no matter which path you choose for dealing with it.
