How Do I Help My Friend Get Rid of His World of Warcraft Addiction?
Question by rob_sarian: How do I help my friend get rid of his World of Warcraft addiction?
My friend is seriously addicted to WoW. He hasn’t turned into a society-shunning hermit … YET. I don’t want it to get to that point.
Any serious and real-world recommendations on how I can help him get rid of his WoW addiction (or at least to greatly temper it) will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

He’ll get bored eventually – Its not really your life to make decisions for.
Well, I too had the same problem you did. My friend was leading up to that stage where he shunned his own life for a fake one. And I took action. I took him out to party, and got him a girlfriend. He barely remembers his password now. =]]
Introduce him to a nice girl and trust me he will stop worrying about what he does in the world of warcraft.
tell him how you feel about it then turn the computer off! (joke)
play monopoly or cludo but make sure he knows your bored then he’ll feel guilty
let him play if he want’s too. if you physicly restrict it then it’s concidered assault or kidnapping, and if you virtually restrict it (Cut of his internet or power) then thats invasion of privacy. So really all you can do is ask him to get off and play a bit with the real world or leave him playing until he gets bored. the max level is 70 and after that the game gets crappy.
