@Sexacjun Hope you have a great and safe week too sweetie. It’s hard
sometimes with the head hunger. But you have come a long way. You look
    great.

Like you I search out restaurants for upcoming trips too. We’re taking a 2
wk one in May for our 30th anniversary. My husbands asked me to wait until
after the trip to have the surgery. But I’m concerned I’ll undo all the
good habits I’m forming & the progress I’m making towards surgery prep,
like my liver. I wana take the trip but I want the surgery too. RN said to
have surgery 1st; dietitian adviced waiting. Excitment for the 2 is
diminishing but I know it’ll somehow all work out.

I was just talking about this yesterday on my drive home from Dallas. It’s
interesting how my cravings have gone away, but I still find myself wanting
certain foods because my old self is still lurking around inside telling me
to eat this or that. The good thing is that I don’t find it difficult to
tell it to shut up! Also my taste for sweets has almost vanished. It’s
nice. Best decision of my life!!

The Matrix protein made a great hot chocolate. I tempered it with cold milk
first, then microwaved it. The Matrix was bettew than store bought hot
chocolate mix. I’m 4 days post op and on clear liquids so I’ll be glad to
have a cup of hot chocolate next week. I think head hunger is worse if you
are around food smells. Our vacations were always about food too, but that
is going to have to change!

  • Angela Bradley says:

Robin I just love your ideas on protein drinks. Great video 🙂

  • texasmom2011 says:

@zenmaiden1 Hope your surgery went well today. Hugs, Robin

I have had the same problem these past few weeks. Staying the same weight
for two weeks, even gaining a pound and then loosing it again but still
havent gone down! I hope my stall breaks soon!

  • VSGmia says:

going to have to try that

I was absolutely, positively addicted to sugar before. I simply do not want
the things that I used to binge on. If I do indulge, it doesn’t take much
to satisfy my desire. I’m amazed at how differently things taste to me.
Most of the time, it’s very easy to walk away from temptation. I don’t get
enough protein in a day though, and that really bothers me. I have sooo
much restriction that it’s hard for me to eat much of anything. :/ I still
    LOVE my sleeve!!

  • texasmom2011 says:

    @gastricRose Oh I guess I did do a coffee talk…LOL and didn’t even know
    it. Too Funny.

  • AmalCPhT says:

Yay for an impromptu coffee talk! Woot! <3

  • texasmom2011 says:

@beacher1967 Yes, its amazing. 🙂 But they do say you body will find a way
for the hormone to come back in about 18 months. But hopefully it won’t be
as bad. So far VSG’ers that have been out longer than me, say they do not
    notice it coming back.

  • texasmom2011 says:

@mythreechildren2001 I can so identify with you. It’s so much easier now to
walk away and I never think about it again. Love my Sleeve.
