The D.A.R.E. suggestion was a great one. It stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Their website: http://www.dare.org/

This site has other resources for drug abuse prevention or awareness: http://www.samhsa.gov/prevention/

Just an fyi regarding “huffing” (fumes or chemical vapors), my friend actually has a severe BRAIN INJURY from inhalant use at the age of 12, now in her 30s.

For more info re: the dangers of huffing – National Inhalant Prevention Coalition: http://www.inhalants.org

Please talk to your kids (and adult kids or younger siblings, cousins) about the risks of inhalant use (and any drugs) and hopefully they’ll make good, healthy choices in life.
