he’s 30, not 13. as an adult, he is legally responsible for his own care. she should check the paperwork, usually when admitted you have to fill out paperwork stating that if you are uninsured, who is responsible for payment. she needs to check to see if he put her. she needs to contact them and tell them, he’s 30 and it’s not her responsibility. she also needs to contact a lawyer because i don’t see anything legal about this.
Legally ;unless they signed to admit him, or he is part owner of the property, they are just blowing smoke. Tell them to get bent.
oh yeah they can if money is owed. that happens everywhere not just in Florida.
Did they sign on the hospital responsibility forms.???
Sometimes you sign them and not know it.
HIre an attorney!
If the son is not on the deed, they can not lien, nor report on her friends credit report.
I would think they can only if they can show that you accepted financial responsibility for his care when he was admitted. Otherwise, he is responsible and they cannot come after you for payment.
